About me
My name is András Pintér. I am a software developer, innovator, dreamer. I am eager to learn new technologies and face new challenges. I have solid work experience in software development, testing, and development processes. I am a quick learner and, I can catch up rapidly. I have a great passion for clean-code and making something new, even from scratch. I am not afraid to dive into the unknown and start creating something new to help achieve something great.
Technical skills
What I love the most
rust
python
cloud
rust
advancedI am currently working with Rust most of my time. We have started a greenfield project entirely in Rust. Also, I developed many new components in Rust. Besides, I am using Rust as the primary programming language for my projects.
python
expertI used to be a lead developer for our Audit Search portal's backend, a reporting tool, and a configuration REST API in Python. I am using and developing Python day after day. Besides, I am using Python as the primary support script language for my projects.
cloud
intermediateRecently, I have started working as a Cloud Technologies Software Architect to bring our best On-Premise solutions up to the cloud and serve them as a Cloud Service. We are separating monolith services into microservices to create a seamless deployment process and a smooth environment for our Software as a Service offering.
automotive
intermediateI started my career in the Automotive industry. I developed a HIL testing framework for writing test scripts in Python to test automotive ECUs in a HIL testing environment. The framework interacted between Matlab Simulink and the HIL system and provided a library to evaluate test results and generate reports.

Work Experience
Senior Software Engineer
One Identity
August 2020 - present
I was the lead developer for a new greenfield project: a next-generation, asynchronous HTTP monitoring proxy. We wrote and developed the server-side of this proxy in asynchronous Rust. Also, I was the technical manager of the project and the team. After, I became a Cloud Software Architect for a new Cloud-based solution of our On-Premise security products.
- Asynchronous Rust
- Cloud technologies (mostly Azure)
- Software architect and leader of a Cloud-Services development team
- Fast, secure, and reliable multi-threading, asynchronous programming
- Fully introduced a new product component from scratch
- Raw HTTP protocol and Web Technologies
- A little bit of taste of WebAssembly
Software Engineer
Balabit/One Identity
April 2017 - August 2020
I was a first-class developer for our Auditor Portal and Search backend, reporting generation tool, and configuration management backend, mainly created in Python (and some legacy PHP). We used PostgresSQL to store data and ElasticSearch to store search metadata to provide audit information and search functionalities. We created and used an in-house Web Framework to realize our REST API (in Python) to configure the product and search audit information.
- Python, PHP, Scala, Shell script
- AMQP Messaging queue
- ElasticSearch
- Linux systems and service management
- Computer network technologies and security
- XML, XSD, XSLT
Software Test Development Engineer
Continental Engineering Services
October 2014 - April 2017
My task was to create automated test scenarios for automotive ECUs Hardware in the loop (HIL) testing. I worked with Kayaba Industries, developing an adaptive damper controller for PSA Group, an adaptive damper algorithm integration with ThyssenKrupp Bilstein for Aston Martin Lagonda, and an Active Vibrant Controller technology for Porsche AG. Also, I built and was a primary developer of a HIL testing framework from scratch in Python to ease and speed up creating HIL Test Scenarios.
- Python, Numpy, MatLab Simulink
- dSpace HIL technologies and solutions
- CAN & FlexRay networking
- Embedded controllers for automotive industries
Education
BSc degree in Computer Science and Engineering
University of Pannonia, Veszprém, Hungary
Graduated in 2014
I studied Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Pannonia, Veszprém, Hungary. I graduated with a First Class Honours BSc degree in 2014. I learned programming languages (C, C++, Java), computer networking, controlling and measurement systems and technologies, basic Linux system administration, database theory, operation system basics, system development, artificial intelligence, and electronics as the most significant fields. As a thesis, I created a project management system with open source technologies in PHP.
